By creating a Tailro account or installing the Tailro Shopify app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Tailro ("the Platform", "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") in full. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you ("Merchant", "User") and Tailro.
- You must be at least 18 years of age or an authorised representative of a registered business to create an account
- By installing the Shopify app, you agree to these Terms in addition to Shopify's own terms
- These Terms apply to all users of the Platform including merchants, staff members, and end customers who interact with merchant booking pages
2. Description of Service
Tailro is a cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) appointment scheduling and business management platform. The Service provides:
- Online booking pages for boutiques, salons, spas, and appointment-based businesses
- Staff management and availability scheduling
- Google Calendar synchronisation
- Shopify store integration (booking link, customer sync)
- Analytics and business intelligence dashboard
- Payment processing via Razorpay
- Customer relationship management
- Gallery and portfolio management
Shopify App: The Tailro Shopify app is a free connector. Subscriptions are managed and billed directly through the Tailro platform at app.tailro.com — not through the Shopify Billing API.
3. Account Registration & Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Tailro account. Specifically:
- You are responsible for keeping your OTP codes confidential — do not share them with anyone
- You must not share API access tokens or credentials with unauthorised parties
- You must notify Tailro immediately at [email protected] if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) applies: Owner, Manager, and Staff roles have different permissions. The account Owner is responsible for all actions taken by their team members
4. Subscription & Billing
- Plans are billed in USD on a monthly or annual basis as selected at sign-up
- Payments are processed securely by Razorpay; Tailro does not store any card, UPI, or banking details
- Tailro plans include a 14-day free trial; at the end of the trial, you will be billed for the selected plan unless you cancel before the trial ends
- You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time; changes take effect at the next billing cycle
- Cancellation: if you cancel your subscription, the Service features access will be terminated immediately and moved to a limited/free plan — no pro-rated refunds are issued. Refunds are issued only for billing errors or by valid applicable reasons
- Refunds: Tailro does not offer refunds on subscription fees except where required by applicable law
- The Shopify app is free to install; the Tailro subscription covers platform access
5. Acceptable Use
You agree that you will not use the Platform to:
- Send spam, unsolicited communications, or marketing messages to customers who have not consented
- Resell, white-label, or sublicense the Platform to third parties without prior written agreement from Tailro
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Platform
- Attempt to circumvent or bypass subscription plan limits or feature restrictions
- Impersonate another business or individual
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes any third-party rights
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Platform or its underlying infrastructure
6. Merchant Responsibilities (Data Controller Obligations)
When merchants use Tailro to manage their customers' booking data, the merchant acts as the data controller and Tailro acts as the data processor. Accordingly:
- Merchants must have their own Privacy Policy that informs their customers that Tailro processes booking data on their behalf
- Merchants must have a lawful legal basis to collect customer email addresses and phone numbers for booking purposes
- Merchants are responsible for their own GDPR, PDPA, or other applicable data protection compliance with their end customers
- Tailro is not liable for a merchant's failure to comply with applicable data protection laws toward their customers
- Merchants must not instruct Tailro to process customer data in a way that violates applicable law
7. Shopify App Specific Terms
- Installing the Tailro Shopify app grants Tailro the OAuth scopes listed during the installation flow
- Merchants can revoke Tailro's access at any time by uninstalling from the Shopify admin panel or disconnecting from the Tailro dashboard
- On uninstall, all Shopify integration data (access tokens, menu GIDs, OAuth credentials) is immediately and permanently hard-deleted from Tailro's systems
- Customer data collected via a Shopify store booking page is stored as Tailro first-party data under the merchant's account and is subject to these Terms
- Tailro's Shopify app is subject to Shopify's Partner Program Agreement in addition to these Terms
8. Intellectual Property
- All intellectual property in the Tailro platform — including source code, design, algorithms, and branding — belongs exclusively to Tailro
- Merchants retain full ownership of their business data (appointments, customers, services, staff records)
- Tailro's name, logo, and branding may not be used without explicit prior written permission
- Nothing in these Terms transfers any IP rights from Tailro to the merchant
9. Service Availability
- Tailro targets 99.9% platform uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance windows
- Scheduled maintenance will be communicated to merchants in advance where practicable
- Tailro is not responsible for downtime or service degradation caused by third-party services including Google, Shopify, Razorpay, or Cloudflare
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Tailro's total cumulative liability to a merchant shall not exceed the total fees paid by that merchant to Tailro in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim
- Tailro is not liable for lost bookings, lost revenue, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the Platform
- Tailro is not liable for any damages resulting from third-party integration failures (Google, Shopify, Razorpay, Cloudflare)
- Tailro is not liable for a merchant's failure to comply with applicable data protection or consumer protection laws toward their end customers
11. Termination
- Tailro may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, with notice where practicable
- Merchants may cancel their subscription at any time — the Service remains accessible until the end of the current billing period
- Upon termination: your Shopify integration data will be hard-deleted, your Google Calendar connection will be disconnected, and your Cloudflare R2 files will be deleted
- Following account closure, your data will be retained for 30 days during which you may request an export, after which it will be permanently deleted (except payment records retained for 7 years per legal requirement)
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India, or resolved through binding arbitration as mutually agreed by the parties.
